NEW BREED

We are a network. A brotherhood. A sisterhood.

Founded by Peyton Jones, we are a gathering of church planters heeding the call to plant churches in broken places.

OUR STORY

Our Story


In 2008 New Breed was formally launched in the UK as an idea. What would happen if planters banded together into a collective to share, train, and learn from one another? Peyton Jones (Author: Reaching The Unreached and Church Zero) and Andrea Jones formed New Breed to catalyze church planters through assessment, training, and coaching. Out of that mission, Jump School and other training was born.


Returning home to America, Peyton and Andrea Jones harnessed the principles gleaned from the mission frontiers of post-christian Europe to reach the unreached in the United States and around the world.

WHAT WE DO

WE'RE DIFFERENT

WE ARE INTERDENOMINATIONAL

New Breed trains evangelical planters from every denomination thereby eliminating sectarian limitations.
This provides a broader platform than other networks.

WE TRAIN 1ST-CENTURY TACTICS

We train planters to use 1st century church planting principles.
This means that we train strike teams to plant rather than throwing one planter at the wall and seeing if he sticks.
Paul was strategic, and we seek to train planters with the best practices in church planting as demonstrated by Paul the apostle.

CHURCH PLANTING LIKE THE BOOK OF ACTS

We train teams. We train females. We target dark places. We don’t put up barriers.

WE PLANT REPRODUCING CHURCHES

Each church we plant is a pregnant church.
That means that we see every church plant as a future hub -a catalyst of future church plants that will launch out of it.
That's where YOU come in.

WE LEAD AND TRAIN IN TEAMS

All New Breed churches operate according to the FIST LEADERSHIP MODEL
outlined in Ephesians 4:10-11 and in Peyton's book: Church Zero. We call these New Testament “strike teams”.

WE TARGET STRATEGICALLY

We strategically target gateway cities and establish church planting hubs there.
We also target areas where most church planters don’t go and make it our aim plant where the need is, not where the money is.

We hold to the Nicene Creed


This historic confession has united the church for two thousand years, and is good enough for us.If you hold to it, we can work together. Under that banner, we unite humbly, believing that God flows graciously between all denominations, overlooking our distinctions.


We hold to our distinctives, taken from Ephesians 4, the seedbed of team leadership, and the key to mobilizing the body of Christ:


  • Multi-denominational - “There is one body and one Spirit…one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all” (Eph 4:4-6)
  • Committed to Dark Places - We go to the darkest places “He also descended into the lower regions of the earth” (Eph 4:9)Apostolic Team Ministry - “And he gave the apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers” (Eph 4:11)
  • Gift Driven - Every believer mobilized in their gifts “to equip the saints for the work of the ministry”  (Eph 4:12)
  • Biblical Fluency - The scriptures are our guide “that we may no longer be children, tossed to and ro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes” (Eph 4:14)
